Sacrifices An Arcane Underworld Novel Jamie Schultz Books

This is the final book of the Arcane Underworld novels, and it really didn't have much of a climactic conclusion. The story is pretty bleak, like the previous novels, and mostly just shows the characters moping around and being miserable for a good portion of the book. Apart from a minor action sequence involving a couple of characters getting involved in a brief gang turf spat about halfway through the book, the plot doesn't really start up until about 85% of the way into the story (I checked on my Kindle). So, the first 6/7 of the book is spent watching the various characters wallow in their misery eating greasy food, two of them (who are lovers) pining over each other not being responsive, two of them having demonic infestation that is causing them angst, and a whole of of driving around meeting up with too many characters that blur together that results in nothing getting done until the climax.

It's like eating plain oatmeal for two hours and then finishing with a slice of chocolate cake for ten minutes. The author really needs to come up with more plot development to space all the way through instead of coming up with a climactic sequence in his mind and spending the rest of the story padding the way there as filler.

Sacrifices An Arcane Underworld Novel Jamie Schultz Books Reviews

I read all the books in this series. This one is a cross between urban fantay and horror. You get suck into the book. The action in the book rolling along like a runaway train.
I do recommend to read the first two books so you can get a better understanding of characters' motivation in the book.
If you like Monster Huntet Inc. this is the book for you.
I can not wait to read the next book and read more of Anna and Karyns adventure.
This is well written and the story line is clear - probably should have had 5 stars except I save those for exceptional books.
