Having just read Waiting for Prince Harry, I was so anxious to read Kenley and Nate's story and it was so worth waiting all day to get out of work. I fell in love with Nate from the moment he stepped in to come to her aid. It isn't that kind of help where he doesn't think she's capable or he wants to control as he was outraged at the way she was being treated.

Kenley is beautiful and has been left with the insecurity of being judged by her looks and not her intelligence and her talents in business. Add in there a bad relationship and you know she's not looking for love. She has plans and they don't include a hot hockey player named Nate.

Nate...he doesn't want to be in Dallas and has also been burned by Cupid....But spending some time with Kenley starts melting his heart, just like those chocolates melting in the hot Texas heat.

I loved the way the author weaved their relationship together. It was both believable and captivating. I really REALLY love Kenley's mother, we all need one of her in our lives, just to make us laugh when there doesn't seem like it could ever happen.

I was left thinking about Kenley and Nate after I finished the book. They weave a place into your heart, right along side Harrison and Kylie. They aren't just characters in a book but a world inside our hearts. The best part is that I know i can go back anytime I want and read them again...Something that I will definitely be doing. One click this book today, as well as Waiting for Prince Harry. As for me, I one clicked book three of this series and am on my way to read it now!

A true love story. I really enjoyed reading it. I loved the more romance with some sex. Good reading material.
I expected more from this book. But the storyline was flat. No high point's in the book
With so many books out there that have folks jumping into bed on the second page, it's refreshing to have one that explores slow, easy beginnings. Definitely worthy of the 5 star rating.
I discovered this author when I read A Royal Shade of Blue and loved it! I immediately downloaded the first book in the Dallas Demons series and enjoyed Harrison and Kylie's story.

Although this book is standalone, I highly recommend that you read the books in order to get the maximum enjoyment.
What is not to love about this book. It was funny, an easy read that flowed through the ups and downs of a romance with some sweet chocolate and hot hockey hunks. The characters are more than a surface level person and have depth with out the description becoming tedious. Throwing in some fashion never hurts to get you into the scene being played out and the author does a great job of laying out the land! Couldn't help but picture Tyler Seguin in the role of Nate! This was by far my favorite book by Aven Ellis as she continues to improve and press on to greater things! I had a hard time putting it down! Can't wait until the next one in the series comes out because I will be ordering it the day it does!
I LOVED The Definition of Icing! In this second installment of the Dallas Demons series, I couldn't get enough of Nate and Kenley!

Kenley Hunter is doing what she loves, owning her business, Confection Consultations and giving people the gift of her knowledge of chocolate and sweets, however she's still looking for that guy that will see the person she is inside; not just what the outside packaging looks like.

Nate Johanasson has just recently been traded to the Dallas Demons from Minnesota and he's not exactly looking forward to making his home in hot Texas. While at a photo shoot, Nate meets Kenley when she is standing up for herself and quickly backs up exactly what she's saying, which stuns her. Nate has long since closed himself off to the thought of a relationship, but does Kenley have what it takes to make him reevaluate that stance?

I loved how Aven Ellis wove in both hockey and being a chocolatier at the beginning of the chapters. I didn't want to put this book down and I can't wait for whatever Ms. Ellis has planned for us next!

She's back! Aven Ellis has treated us to a new fabulous installment in what's proving to be one of the best series ever the Dallas Demons hockey romances! If you haven't read the first book, Waiting For Prince Harry, no worries you can perfectly fall in love with The Definition Of Icing without having read the first one, but I would suggest reading them in order - it's just more fun.
It came as no surprise that I fell in love with Nate, Kenley and their story from the moment I started reading. Aven Ellis has a way of writing the girl you've always wanted to be - or wanted as a best friend - and the guy you've always wanted to date. Or at least dream about ;-)
In true Aven Ellis style, her characters are fun, interesting and original. Easy to relate to, but always surprising. Apart from the gorgeous main characters, she also introduces some hilarious new people and with every addition to their Dallas Demons world, you feel more and more like you're a part of their "family".
Get ready to be swept of your feet and to fall in love. [but make sure you have a stash of chocolate at the ready! Along with some tissues, maybe]
